Arron Dryven

( My first fella that's not tied to any of my other ocs in a significant role. He came about much easier than I expected him too, but I'm super happy with him. He's a part of 's awesome family)

Name: Arron Drayven

Significant nicknames: Ron, Ronny, Wisp, Link(by a paper-doll he's never had the heart to correct)

Gender: male

Species: will-o-wisp

Age: ' Who knows and who cares truly? I've lost count...'

Birthday: January 4^th

Residence: Arron doesn't really keep a residence, he goes where he feels he needs to be. He's never really needed a home before. He does on occasion crash on the couch of some of his family members

Language: English

Relationship Status: Single, but he's been known to turn people down by saying he's taken by his lamp.

Height: Five foot nine inches (human form)

Weight: Pretty much weightless. It takes a good deal of effort to keep a humanoid appearance, so normally he doesn't even bother to make his weight seem realistic. ( the only exception is when he's actively coming in contact with a living being, in which case he tries his best to make it feel like he's at least living)

Basic body type: Average

Skin( type/markings/ect.): In his humanoid form, he's got  blue skin with circular darker colored patterns on his wrists, elbows and chest. He's also got the phrase, “ Not all who wander are lost...” tattooed on his upper back.

Hair( type/coloration/ style): Arron's hair is pale, almost glowing blue and it always looks wild and unruly not matter what he does to it( much to his annoyance)

Eyes( color/ eye sight/ ect): Arron actually has pretty poor eye sight and thus wears contacts. These contacts also happen to be colored and are a lovely violet color. His actual eye color is a stormy shade of gray. Also sometimes he wears eyeliner because he thinks it looks cool.

Job: He considers himself a lamp-lighter, but his actual job would be closer to a link-boy. He walks night-time travelers to places and makes sure they're safe to and from their locations.

Family: Part of this glorious group THE LARGEST OC FAMILY EVER!

Backstory: Arron has always been an odd boy. He never felt any desire to lead travelers astray nor any particular need to be miscivious. He was more concerned with watching the world pass by than being a part of it. He loved stories and hearing of them more than living out his own. Because of this, he was often left to stew as a child, not really getting involved with things unless forced too. However, there was one other thing that brought him intense joy; annoying the crap out of his parents. And so he took up his job, leading people safely through the night for the low price of some change and a story( though he's been known to forgo the change if you have an interesting enough story). It was quite the win-win for him. He knows that most of his kind look down on his “little habit” but Arron doesn't mind. He gets his stories. He gets to be helpful. And that's all that matters.

Personality: Arron's pretty serious. He takes his job seriously, he takes his stories seriously and he takes himself kind of seriously. He can come across as moody, but normally that's simply because keeping a human form is physically and emotionally exhausting and he normally can't be bothered to not look solemn all the time. He's also pretty formal most of the time( his manors are v important to him) and it takes quite a bit to get him to loosen up around people. Around those he's comfortable with ( or those telling him stories) he brightens up a bit, smiles more, and you'll find that he's actually somewhat sweet and kind, but doesn't always think things through. He's also quite a flirt without realizing it and is a huge cuddle bug, so much so. Odds are at any given moment he wants a hug.

Likes: His lantern, stories, classical music, fireflies, trying new things( honestly if you want to see him dissolve into puppy eyes, offer to make him food), annoying his parents, walking, lullabies, knitting( he finds it relaxing), reading, hugs, head paps, flying, cats

Dislikes: Losing people( yes it has happened and to this day he regrets it), black coffee ( he can't stomach the stuff), being in the dark without his lantern, modern art, the cold, wet socks

Additional information:

Arron has to be pretty careful because his physical form is so taxing on him. It's not uncommon for him to pass out if he says in his human form long enough. This is always why he eats so much, he needs the energy. He's also been known to use what little energy he has to ensure his lantern doesn't go out and to keep his charges safe.

Arron is slightly allergic to iron. He can't wear jewelry with iron in it because it irritates his skin.

He's actually terrified of getting another person lost. He never found that woman back and fears that he got her killed. Because of this, he always keeps extra fuel for his lantern on him, so that even if something happens to him, who ever he's with won't be left alone in the dark.

He doesn't dislike his family, but he's rather wary of them. He loves them all to pieces, but a little bit of him is always worried that he might run into one of them on the job.( he knows that odds are they won't hurt any of his charges, but a bit of him feels like he's disappointing them by doing this)

He keeps a back pack full of journals containing all the stories people have ever told him. Each story has a picture of him and the teller paper-clipped to it so he can always remember them and their story long after they're gone.

He wears socks all the time. Like seriously all the time.

His necklace is is actually a little gold St. Christopher pendant that a childhood friend gave him it's special don't touch it, he get's a bit snippy when folks mess with it
